ABOUT OUR SPONSORS

Donald Mackay

Donald Mackay was assassinated in Griffith NSW on the 15th of July 1977 as a consequence of his resistance to organised crime in Australia. The Australian community was so outraged by this act of violence that a National Appeal was organised by the combined Services Clubs of Griffith. The funds raised have enabled a perpetual Churchill Fellowship to be awarded in the field of countering organised crime in Donald’s memory. Mrs Barbara Mackay maintained a close relationship with the Churchill Trust until her death in February 2001.

The opportunity to pursue one's passion is indeed priceless. The experience was made even richer by all those I met along the way who offered their friendship and support.
