Dr Andrew Hill is passionate about the health of Australia's wildlife, and the wildlife health workers who support them through illness and injury. He believes that the development of our wildlife hospital network is key to mitigating emerging disease and responding to disasters.
Andrew is an experienced veterinarian at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, one of the busiest hospitals in the world. He balances cutting-edge medicine with overwhelming caseloads, pursuing high-capacity solutions that improve patient outcomes while reducing fatigue and burnout.
Andrew holds Bachelor and Master's degrees in Veterinary Science, and Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists with a focus on avian wildlife. He supports a range of conservation projects and ex-situ recovery programs. Andrew has an interest in emergency response and is determined to advance our foundational knowledge of native species to better serve the next generation of wildlife managers, veterinarians, and all who enjoy the outdoors.
