Catherine Crawford is passionate about the law, especially children’s law, and the impact of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
Catherine holds a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia. She travelled to the United Kingdom and obtained a Master of Laws degree with distinction in International Human Rights from the University of Essex. After working as a solicitor in the UK she returned to Australia and became the principal legal officer with the Perth Aboriginal Legal Service. She spent time working as a barrister at Wickham Chambers and was appointed at the Central Law Courts, serving in the Perth Courts until 2012 when she was assigned ‘exclusively’ to the Perth Children’s Court.
