Chris Celovic is an innovator. Whether in business or government, his extensive professional experience, honed in high pressure, multi-disciplinary environments have given him the ability to work collaboratively to improve organisational processes and increase business productivity that leverages data and technology. Chris has been successful in using his network skills and experience to connect people across multiple ecosystems, and allowed him to identify gaps in how new technology is implemented in Australia.

Chris' professional foundation is in international trade and investment and he has worked to develop the Agtech and Critical Minerals sector in Australia. His analysis of the NSW critical minerals and high-tech metals sector identified how important battery recycling is to the successful implementation of renewable energy, especially in the take-up of electric vehicles.

Chris began his working career at age fifteen as an apprentice plant mechanic maintaining fleets of large mining equipment and has seen the industry change and develop over that time. He is committed to using his international experience to seek out good global practice and demonstrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) opportunities for Australian manufacturing and mining companies which, in turn, will give these sectors a global competitive advantage.

As a leader, he is strategic by nature and a keen business tactician. Loyalty and a commitment to lifelong learning are highly ranked in his personal attributes. He is at his best when he is part of a like-minded team anchored in a dynamic supportive environment. Chris values smart work that promotes the use of data and technology, and believes in developing individuals to prosper in a high performing business environment.

Chris has a Master of Business and Technology from the University of NSW and several post graduate qualifications from the University of Sydney, Charles Sturt University and Western Sydney University.
