Jeremy is a 2020 Churchill Fellow and will be connecting with the First Nations communities within the United States of America, Canada and New Zealand to see what can be learnt from the community and be brought back to the local area.

 

For the last 10 years Jeremy has been involved in organising Aboriginal Mental Health and Suicide Prevention events across the Sydney region and has spoken on the issues both nationally and internationally.

 

Jeremy works closely with the Aboriginal community in the Inner Sydney region and has a strong focus on mental health and wellbeing. First Nations people have been around for tens of thousands of years and have knowledge and healing practices that have focused on keeping community safe.

 

Jeremy is currently is employed as the Indigenous Health Community Engagement Officer within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney and through the Babana Aboriginal Men’s Group works as a cultural mentor and for the last 12 years acted as the Deputy Chairman.
