She is passionate about encouraging others to dive into the power of their potential. Her vision? A society made richer through meaningful partnerships, exploration and quests borne from curiosity.
Maria has spent the past three decades playing at the intersection of sustainability, capacity building and creative problem solving and now combines creativity, the arts and sciences to provide vibrant and energising approaches to social change.
The latest venture, The Creative Catalyst, was borne from these parallel interests and led to her mission of seeking to support others to achieve their best creative self. What happens at intersections is a rich creative vein that seeks to encourage a curious and experimental approach to problem solving. So far 2021 has seen the release of a three book series, ‘The Creative Advantage’ and an online training platform aimed at building problem solving core competencies.
A bridge between worlds, experience in high-level management roles have tuned Maria's skills as a conduit across diverse sectors. From non-profits, business, governments and community, each role finds common ground, to exchange ideas and facilitate partnerships that create vibrant and sustainable communities.
A sculptress of sustainability... Maria's art works are informed by her desire to cross pollinate fresh ideas.
A career redesigner... Maria is the creator and author of Sweet Spot Careers, a boutique consultancy for women who've reached their mid careers and are baffled by what to do next. Her message is simple: act on your curiosity and explore the next transition without fear to find clarity and a career you love.
She is a Churchill Fellow and recipient of a Commonwealth Leadership Scholarship.
