Natalie Walker is the CEO of PartnerSPEAK which is the only organisation in Australia to specifically support the non-offending partners and families of perpetrators of child exploitation material. PartnerSPEAK is based on the principles of Intentional Peer Support with non-offending families with lived experience leading our response. Natalie has been an unwavering advocate for non-offending partners and families of perpetrators for over a decade. During Operation Auxin in 2004, when media published the name of an affected partner, Natalie was adamant that someone needed to speak out on behalf of these traumatised partners against the stereotype that they are complicit in the offence. Natalie is campaigning that bringing child exploitation material into the family home be recognised as a form of family violence and that it is responded to by agencies and government appropriately. In 2018, Natalie undertook a Churchill Fellowship in the United States and New Zealand which explored ‘Intentional peer support as a trauma-informed response to the partners of perpetrators of child sexual abuse material.’
