Nicola Jeffries is an award winning facilitator and practitioner of circus arts, dedicated to inspiring young people to find their place and express their voices through physical arts. She has fostered long term relationships with young people throughout the Northern Territory and is committed to engaging young people in authentic encounters with the Arts that have long term value, celebrating and amplifying the current and potential talents of every individual.
Nicola has pioneered the first Circus Curriculum in the Northern Territory, developing skills with a whole school perspective, paving the way for young people to hone their physical dexterity alongside their critical thinking, emotional and social development skills. Nicola is passionate developing a meaningful connection to each other through arts based practise.
She both choreographs award-winning performances and generates pathways for the next generation of industry professionals. She is an internationally recognized artist and rigger, in both Europe and Australia, with over thirty years in the Circus Industry. She has worked with Corrugated Iron Youth Arts in Darwin since 2011, and continues to strive for best practise developing programs across the Territory.
