Sean Stevens is a General Surgeon based in Melbourne. Sean is the Director of General And Trauma Emergency Surgery (GATES) Unit at Austin Health and a visiting surgeon at Colac Area Health. Sean has previously completed a Master in Public Health and a Master in Surgical Education. Sean is the Surgical Clinical Supervisor at the University of Melbourne’s Austin Clinical School and the Supervisor of Prevocational Surgical Training at Austin Health. Sean was the inaugural chair and now consultant advisor of VERITAS, a Victorian-based surgical trainee-led research collaborative. In 2022 Sean will undertake a Churchill Fellowship investigating world-leading simulation programs in surgical training and practice.
