Dr Steven Percy is passionate about seeing a clean transformation of Australia’s energy system and believes that emerging hydrogen technologies will play a critical role in a low carbon future. Steven has over 10 years of experience working in energy research at CSIRO, Victoria Energy Policy Centre, IBM-Research, and University of California (Berkeley) which has given Steven the skills to tackle very challenging energy problems.
Steven is a 2020 Churchill Fellow who has developed numerous energy models and analytical tools for Australia that have been used to advise state and federal energy policy and the Australia Energy Market Operator.
Steven publishes his work regularly on the Conversation and RenewEconomy and speaks at public seminars. Many of his energy market analysis outputs are accessible here.
Steven holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney.
