Download

Key Findings

Four key finding are suggested as a result of the review:

  1. The importance of effective training of police and other professionals in dynamic risk assessment and monitoring of offenders,
  2. The potential use of public protection panels as a means of sharing expertise, assisting with risk assessments and developing monitoring plans for registered offenders,
  3. The possibility of establishing sex offender orders as an additional means of reducing risk and protecting those most vulnerable in the community,
  4. The value of increasing the use of sophisticated technology to maintain databases with an interrogative functionality.
