Tracey Cain received a Peter Mitchell Churchill Fellowship to develop her skills in media policy by observing the United States Presidential Elections, both generally and at the White House.

Tracey’s employment had included being a media advisor for various Members of Parliament. She was interested in exploring the connection between politics and media and the implications of social media for political campaigning. She made the most of her travels, going on the Clinton campaign trail as a member of staff and being there for the counting of the votes, as well as going on John Kerry’s campaign in New England.

Offered employment in the American political sphere, Tracey chose to return to Australia to contribute what she had learned and to make her community a better place. She was on the Selection Committee for her state for 15 years and on the Churchill Trust Board for 10 years.
