To undertake an intensive course of practical study and research in the percussive dance styles of Korea - South Korea
Download

My Churchill Fellowship provided me with an invaluable time of deep study in Korean Buk drumming and dance forms in Seoul, South Korea.

The experience was not only profound for me as a developing musician, it enabled me to fully step forward into my profession with unique skills, and renewed confidence, as a professional musician, composer and specialist teacher of rhythm. It also provided me with the opportunity to meet my future teachers, with whom I continue to train and maintain contact to this day.

I currently work actively as an assistant and co-teacher with my master drumming teacher and mentor, Reinhard Flatischler, and together we lead percussion and rhythm trainings in Europe and Australia.

I now live between Europe and Australia, and have started my own international business, Pulse Rhythm Events, which is dedicated to workshops, trainings and creative collaborations worldwide, involving rhythm, drumming, voice, performance training, personal evolution and meditation practices.

Who am I? I am a self-proclaimed gypsy at no fixed address. I love being on the road and not knowing where the next job will take me. My hobbies (if you can call them that) include studying European architecture, and getting lost in new ‘old’ cities.

I am a part-owner of two live music venues in Hobart and Melbourne, and am currently in Master training as a TaKeTiNa Rhythm teacher (one of four in the world).

I continue to be passionate about music, rhythm and movement education, and believe that music can be a powerful tool for improving health and transforming lives.
