I am an environmental artist, whose work is primarily focused on using materials that send a strong environmental message, while at the same time is creating what I believe is a beautiful aesthetic.

The materials I generally use in my work are beach found plastics. I have made assemblages of these plastics over many years, and have been developing digital prints of assemblages of these plastics, which were photographed as medium format transparencies (negatives).

There were approximately twelve medium format transparencies per image. Altogether I developed twenty-four different kinds of images in this series and bought these to completion for the first time in late 2014. It culminated in my being awarded the Churchill Fellowship.

For the first time having now fully developed the digital print aspect of my work, I have completed the series and taken my printmaking skills to a new level, by fusing this work with traditional woodblock printing techniques from Japan, I did this by working in collaboration with a master woodblock printer and carver in Kyoto as the core part of the Fellowship
