Churchill Fellow wins Australian Telstra Business of the Year Award 2013

Nick Haddow spent 10 years learning his craft of cheese making and another 10 years establishing Bruny Island Cheese Co. It's now an artisan producer with a 21st-century method of connecting with customers

This year’s overall winner, Bruny Island Cheese Co., is the first Tasmanian business to take out the top award, and was recognised not only for the quality of its cheese but also for its role in sustaining agri-tourism and supporting dairy farmers in the island community.

Nick Haddow (2012 Churchill Fellow) and his partner Leonie Struthers settled on Bruny Island, off the south coast of Tasmania, in 2001. Haddow had worked as a chef in South Australia’s Eden Valley until his mid-twenties.
