Through 2024, while maintaining a strong focus on selecting and supporting the next talented cohort of Churchill Fellows, this year has marked a substantial transition for the Churchill Trust. We farewelled our long-serving Board Chair, David Trebeck, whose leadership over eight years as Chair guided the Trust through a period of significant growth and evolution.
At the same time, we welcomed Christine Dacey and Dr Richard Roylance as the new CEO and Board Chair, respectively. Additionally, several new staff members have joined the team to support our ongoing mission and future direction.
Both Ms Dacey and Dr Roylance, a Churchill Fellow, recognise the strong legacy left by the outgoing leaders. They aim to build upon this, introducing a fresh perspective that will help guide the Trust forward. Richard noted that the excellent work already underway positions the Trust well for an exciting year ahead, which will mark the 60th anniversary of the doorknock that established it.
