The Trust has recently welcomed the newest cohort of Churchill Fellowship recipients to Canberra for onboarding.
The event opened with a dinner, where Fellows met each other and networked, before hearing from Trust Chair David Trebeck CF (NSW, 1974) about the Trust’s history and future, ahead of its 60th anniversary in 2025.
Fellows then heard from keynote speaker Katrina Marson CF (ACT, 2018).
Katrina gave an inspirational and powerful speech about her family’s legacy, her Fellowship, and her work in sex education among young people. It was particularly poignant as the Frank and Helen Zobec Fellowship is in memory of Katrina’s grandparents. Kim Dyball (QLD, 2024) is the first Fellow awarded under this sponsorship, and was among those at the dinner.
Fellows were also joined by some Churchill Fellows Association state and territory presidents, regional secretaries and Trust Board directors.
The event then involved a full-day of learning and development.
This began with an address from the Trust’s Acting CEO, Sally Campbell, about the responsibilities and opportunities available to Fellows.
People then heard from the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC.
Her Excellency announced that she has accepted Patron in Chief of the Trust, saying this was a “wonderful way to recognise the work of the Trust, and celebrate its extraordinary network of Fellows.”

The onboarding means the 2024 Churchill Fellows are well-prepared for the journey ahead. The Trust is excited to see the impact and changes these Fellows will bring to their communities and Australia.
