The AV Jennings Churchill Fellowship to connect global efforts for climate action and literacy across the architecture profession featured image
This project will connect current climate action from Australian architects with international initiatives and frameworks to build ‘climate literacy’ for the profession. The National Standard of Competency for Architects (NSCA) outlines minimum standards for the profession; it connects degree accreditation, professional registration and continuing professional development requirements. In response to the climate crisis, the 2021 Standards outline a range of new sustainability competencies including whole life carbon, resilience to climate change impacts, and responsible resource use. I will interview international architects pioneering climate action to support transitions to the profession in our region.
