Belinda's Churchill Fellowship project was born out of a desire to investigate how growers in Australia can use their QA systems to be proactive in addressing social license concerns. In moving beyond just compliance, Belinda sought to find examples of where growers in New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland and the Netherlands have changed their system thinking to benefit their business, harness its power to address regulatory reforms as well as communicate the #howandwhywefarm message to manage community expectations where they operate. Belinda explores how peak industry bodies use industry performance to be proactive in addressing changing regulatory environments and requirements and how standard owners are evolving their requirements in response to supply chain pressures.
