Innovate on culturally appropriate engagement, employment & retention methodologies for First Nations peoples into rural fire service agencies within Australia. Research, document and influence public sector legislation that will simplify and complement the engagement of First Nations peoples into rural fire service agencies including linkages of employment & retention and how this culturally enhances; fire prevention, mitigation, and management in community. Innovate concepts for developing broad public works employment programs involving First Nations peoples & communities’ resilience.

“Creating a pathway for Indigenous peoples into rural fire agencies is crucial , it builds community connection and resilience, it’s On Country and its capacity building, particularly in the more remote areas”.
