The Stuart and Norma Leslie Churchill Fellowship to learn the latest techniques in wig and facial hair making, fitting and dressing featured image

I intend to travel internationally, to meet with the most experienced and awarded practitioners in the field of wig and postiche (facial hair) making, fitting and styling for feature film, TV series and theatre.

Currently, there is no curriculum and minimum knowledge relating to this field in Australia, particularly in hair, makeup and film schools. I intend to document the techniques and equipment used, and then disseminate this information via a report and by teaching at schools (film, theatre, hair and makeup) and workshops in Victoria and Australia in order to educate and upskill future generations of hairstylists and makeup artists to provide superior wig making and dressing skills for the arts industry.
