To gather knowledge to expand the successful and unique model of the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation featured image

I can summarise this Fellowship in three areas: What I have learnt; what I have had confirmed; and, what I have been able to share.

I have learnt that my original model for expanding the Foundation needs to avoid the use of volunteers, due in main to the resource required to professionally manage a volunteer army. I have learnt new and innovative ways to extend the awareness of the Foundation in the community and within the NICU. Awareness is crucial in expanding the Foundation. I have had confirmed by all charities that I visited that my umbrella model, allowing regional chapters to use the resources of the Canberra Foundation, is the right model for expansion. I have been able to share knowledge I have gained on the journey with subsequent charities I visited. I know this sharing has had a positive influence in future plans for a number of them.
