We are excited to let you know that if you are unable to travel to Brisbane you can attend and enjoy the 2021 ‘Virtual’ National Convention of Churchill Fellows.
The Virtual Convention will be a 3D immersive experience, with real-time access to the in-person events, the chance to engage with live presentations during Q&A, and a variety of opportunities to network with other virtual attendees, including one-on-one chats, meeting hubs, and speed networking sessions.
Virtual attendees will also be able to visit and learn about opportunities available to Fellows at online-only exhibition booths presented by some of our partners, including Yellow Edge our partners in the VGLP program, and the Policy Impact Program with partners The University of Queensland. You will also be able to join us for the launch of an exciting new partnership which will offer international development and collaboration opportunities and connections for Churchill Fellows.
The Virtual Convention promises to be a fun and interactive option if you are unable to make it in person to the Convention in Brisbane.
The Virtual Convention will run from 12.00pm Friday 8 October and 8.45am – 5.30pm Saturday 9 October 2021. It will not include the Sunday activities programmed for the Brisbane attendees in-person.
We look forward to ‘seeing’ you there!
If you are now unable to attend in-person due to Covid-19 restrictions or concerns, please email email@example.com. We will facilitate a transfer of your registration to a virtual ticket, with a refund of the total cost difference.
Well, now you don’t have to put it off any longer. You can embrace this opportunity to attend and interact with the in-person events online and network with other Fellows from around Australia.
If you have already booked your tickets to attend the Convention in-person, or are planning to, we encourage you to stay on course and enjoy the Convention in sunny Brisbane. We’re excited to have you.
If Brisbane does experience a lock down, we will contact you to facilitate a transfer of your registration to a virtual ticket. You will receive a refund of the total cost difference – so you have nothing to lose!
You will not be able to attend all of the Convention events to be held in Brisbane, and this is reflected in the cost.
You will be able to all of the speakers sessions on the Friday and Saturday, but not the Welcome Reception, Afternoon Concert, and Convention Dinner. However, we are planning virtual alternatives so stay tuned for more information on these.
You will be unable to attend the Sunday tours, lunch and closing cigar ceremony.
You can read the Virtual Convention’s program here.
You will receive emails containing information on how to access the Convention prior to the event. The platform is accessed via a web browser. There will be technical support available throughout the event in case you experience any difficulty with your connection.
In addition to being able to interact with the live presenters during Q&A, there will be a variety of ways to meet other virtual attendees, from one on one chats, to meeting hubs to ‘speed networking’ sessions.
You can also visit virtual exhibition booths featuring our partners and programs, including Yellow Edge, and the Policy Impact Program, and join us for the launch of an exciting new partnership which will offer international development and collaboration opportunities and connections for Churchill Fellows.
All sessions will be recorded and made available on the virtual Convention platform, which will remain accessible to ticket holders for 3 months after the event.
