National Indigenous Forum Co-Chair

Professor Tom Calma AO, an elder of the Kungarakan tribal group, and member of the Iwaidja tribal group has spent his life tirelessly championing the rights, responsibilities and welfare of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.

Among his many awards, human rights and social justice achievements and board contributions, Professor Calma is also the first Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander man to hold the position of Chancellor of any Australian university.

Many of you will be aware that in October 2019, Tom, along with Professor Marcia Langton AO FASSA FTSE, was appointed Co-Chair of Voice Co-Design Senior Advisory Group.
