Data Interoperability is a core principle in the use and reuse of health data captured in clinical information systems in healthcare.

A number of countries have well-established interoperability standards frameworks, however, some have been more successful than others in achieving large scale adoption of these interoperability standards.

The objective of this Churchill Fellowship is to investigate the effective strategies that have been implemented to drive interoperability of healthcare data between healthcare systems. Such strategies may include approaches to collaborative development and co-design, policy and regulatory frameworks or financial incentives.
