Churchill Fellows and families are invited to a picnic day trip to Binalong NSW, an easy 97km drive from Canberra CBD.

Peter Minson (NSW, 1995), a 3rd generation glass blower and owner of Minson Art Glass will provide us with a rare opportunity to view glass blowing, play with glass and make a glass keepsake.

Friday, Dec 15: Book Launch – The life and work of Ante Dabro

In 1982, Ante Dabro explored advanced sculptural techniques during a Churchill Fellowship, learning ceramic shell casting at Princeton University and massive sand casting in Berlin. He applied these skills to create the celebrated ‘Men and Ships’ Naval Memorial in Canberra, opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1983. Dabro’s subsequent major works, like ‘Resilience,’ delve into themes of loss and hope, showcasing his mastery and earning recognition from arts patron Terry Snow.

Please RSVP by 14 December.
