Our connection with the National Portrait Gallery featured image

We are pleased to share this short film celebrating our connection with the National Portrait Gallery.

Late last year, the gallery graciously hosted our Board at a special dinner event, where we heard from Churchill Fellow Luke Cornish (VIC 2013) whose portrait of former Prime Minister Bob Hawke AC (1929-2019) is now part of the National Portrait Gallery’s collection.

Our connection with the arts sector has always been important, especially given Winston Churchill himself was a prolific painter. We are committed to supporting Australians to learn globally and inspire locally across all fields, including the arts. Applications for the 2023 Churchill Fellowship are now open, and closing on May 1, 2023.

This short film is a reminder of the importance of the arts, and showcases Luke Cornish and his Bob Hawke portrait, which will remain an important part of Australia’s artistic heritage for years to come.
