Andrew Morgan is passionate about contributing to public policy challenges in partnership with the community to build investment in our wellbeing. He has worked in a variety of roles in the public sector focused on complex issues in safety, health and environmental policy development, governance, planning and evaluation.
In 2015, Andrew was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to investigate the options for reducing the risk of mesothelioma through government initiatives, engaging with researchers, governments, and social partners, to examine different approaches and generate new ideas to address Australia’s aging asbestos legacy. With the support of the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency, Andrew presented his research to the Australian Parliament’s Group of Asbestos Related Disease (PGARD), the 2016 International Conference on Asbestos Awareness and Management, and government and community forums.
Andrew is a Sir Roland Wilson Scholar, currently completing a PhD at the Australian National University’s Crawford School of Public Policy and was awarded the Joan Urh Prize for his contribution to public policy in 2021.
