Jody Nunn advocates that reconciliation cannot be achieved without Truth Telling. She aims to deepen her understanding of First Nations truth telling and healing from a global perspective. As Western Australia commences a journey of exploring our state’s history of injustices against Aboriginal people, Jody along with Aboriginal Noongar Elder Robyn Smith-Walley will embark on a fellowship to understand lessons in truth telling. They will place an Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal lens on effective models and sustainable practices utilised globally to advance reconciliation between First Nations people and settler communities. A vital component of their research will be to understand trauma recovery models to support communities to heal.

Jody has built her career with reconciliation as an important thread through roles in the arts, film, government, grant making, governance, and now directly in the reconciliation movement as the CEO of Reconciliation WA.

Jody holds an Masters in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia and did her Bachelor of Arts (Arts Management) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
