I have been with the Tasmanian Department of Education since 1971 and have undertaken roles as teacher (primary and secondary), Principal, District Superintendent, Manager Learning, Director Centres for Online Learning and Extended Learning and General Manager of a Southern Region. During this time I have worked with 92 school principals and teams to improve education for all. I was a 2000 Churchill Fellow, focussing on system wide support for the educational needs of disadvantaged students; also Tasmanian Telstra Business Woman finalist in the corporate area and Microsoft Innovative Educational Leader
