Kylie Johnson is passionate about communication and loves the way stories can capture the public imagination.

She has a track record of spotting an emerging trend and instinctively knowing how it can work. For example, she created CSIRO's first podcast before most people even knew what a podcast was.

While at CSIRO, Kylie covered many of the big climate issues, including alternative fuel sources, environmental degradation and changing weather patterns.

Kylie's career has now led her to work with the trucking industry, which will be transformed by the imminent introduction of net zero emission heavy vehicles.

The reality is this change is coming whether industry is ready or not. And while some trucking operators are excited by the possibilities, many see net zero emission heavy vehicles as yet another threat.

Kylie believes that effectively communicating the benefits of net zero emission heavy vehicles to Australia's trucking industry is one of the biggest challenges of her career.
