Siona Hardy

Siona Hardy is the Statewide Director of Queensland Youth Cancer Service and with her team supports adolescents and young adults with cancer. As an experienced healthcare leader, Siona has a passion and aptitude for developing sustainable models of care that support positive outcomes for patients and their community. With a particular passion for adolescent wellbeing, Siona recognises the enormous impact a cancer diagnosis has on a young person’s life, including the physical, emotional, social, vocational and practical issues that often arise. 

Siona has fifteen years’ experience leading in both public and private healthcare organisations across tertiary and primary settings. She has previously held several Executive Director and Director positions and has a reputation for her ability to lead strategically, understand operationally and connect services across the complex healthcare system.

In the last five years, Siona has been a recipient of the Laurie Cowled Women in Leadership Scholarship, Andrew M. Paul Healthcare Scholarship, Mater Queensland Leadership Award and is a National HESTA Primary Health Care Award finalist.

Siona is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has completed the Managing Health Care Delivery Program at Harvard Business School, holds a Master of Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology and has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of South Australia.
