How you can be involved

Would you or your organisation like to become part of someone’s Churchill Fellowship journey?

The Trust welcomes support in the form of sponsorships and bequests.

Supporting the Churchill Trust can help to enable someone’s journey while they learn about a specific issue, topic or field of endeavour, and also extend the benefits of their findings.

Sponsorships in focus

The Trust welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals and organisations wanting to support and inspire someone’s Churchill Fellowship journey.

Paul Triglau was awarded the Dr Susan V Nelle Churchill Fellowship in 2019 to travel to Italy to refine his skills in artisan baking/patisserie. This collaboratively sponsored Fellowship was established to honour the legacy of Susan Nelle, who was known for her exceptional ability to engage with, inspire, and bring together individuals, organisations and industries for the benefit of the food industry and higher education in South Australia.

Are you interested in helping passionate Australians to strive for excellence as they access international expertise and observe inspiring practice in their field of endeavor? Learn more about how you can sponsor a Fellowship or leave a bequest.

Benefits of sponsorship

As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to guide the topics and issues being researched by Churchill Fellows. You’ll have free and ongoing access to the findings, and the chance to build lasting relationships and networks to advance the issues that are most important to you.

  • Be a visible part of this prestigious award that is enabling Australians from all walks of life to achieve their best for the benefit of the Australian community! The sponsored Fellowship may be named to represent your organisation, or to honour the memory of someone important to you or your organisation.

  • If it’s appropriate, you may select a specific state or a demographic (eg. age, gender, etc) for the recipient of the Fellowship.

  • You can engage with your sponsored Fellow before and after they undertake their overseas travel to maximise your investment and relationship.

  • Administration of the Fellowship is taken care of by the Trust – you can focus on promoting the opportunity.

  • The full cost of sponsoring a Fellowship is tax deductible.

Sponsorship costs

The cost of a sponsored Churchill Fellowship is based on the average value of a Fellowship in recent application rounds.

The Trust does not charge an administration fee for the management of sponsored Fellowship – 100% of sponsor funds go towards the Fellowship, with all administrative costs being provided for by the Trust’s investment returns.

The Trust is recognised as a not-for-profit organisation by the Australian Taxation Office and has Deductible Gift Recipient status, meaning that sponsorship costs, bequests and donations may be fully tax deductible.

Bequests

Bequests to the Trust create a lasting legacy that help to support inspired and dedicated Australians across the many aspects of their journey from Fellowship travels to sharing their findings with the community.

We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your legacy wishes.
