I intend to develop an understanding of the US Dept. of Interior, Drone program, specifically how it relates to fuel reduction burning. In the last two years the development of the Ignis 2.0 aerial incendiary product has meant that previously dangerous lighting jobs are now able to be completed in a manner which reduces risk to fire fighters. Being able to quickly and cost effectively introduce fire into a landscape, without the need to fund and organise a helicopter at short notice means the timeframe for successful fuel reduction burning can be extended. Taking advantage of smaller windows of opportunity to complete burning programs.
