The Hort Innovation Churchill Fellowship to investigate development programs for young beekeepers that are scalable to an Australian context featured image

My project is to identify the way world leading youth beekeeping advocates have:

  • Created growth
  • Expanded learning capacity
  • Increased engagement
  • Aligned with or become accreditation bodies
  • Inserted beekeeping into the school curriculum
  • Increased the profile of the importance of youth beekeeping

This knowledge will enable me to make informed decisions to develop a replicable program to provide Australian children with a clear and measurable format to follow and develop their beekeeping skills and knowledge, whilst giving other youth beekeeping mentors a deliverable program that can be a pathway to gaining beekeeping industry accreditation for our young beekeepers.
