This report aims to improve collaboration between aeromedical retrieval and humanitarian/disaster response, resulting in the improvement of patient safety. Through the thematic analysis of each interview that was conducted with industry leaders from the humanitarian, aviation and disaster space, along with a review of the current literature, the following key findings and recommendations were formed. In summary, these recommendations highlighted the need for increased research into multiple areas which include the universal standards of aeromedical retrieval companies; and Resource efficiency. Disaster management is a growing area that needs to focus on an all hazards approach for effective preparedness. To do this, a more collaborative nature needs to be adopted, with greater information sharing and interagency/international exercises to test plans and mitigate potential operational challenges. This research indicated five main recommendations: • Research and evidence-based care • Establish universal working group • Verification and classification • Resource efficiency and a greener future • Interagency exercises
