The Rodney Warmington Estate Churchill Fellowship to assess international best practice for end to end transport opportunities for disabled people featured image
The Victorian Department of Transport is committed to accessible transport for all. As the first Chief Accessibility Advocate (CCA) and as a person with a disability, I know that there is a difference between policy and procedures and what happens in practice. I build on the connections I have made internationally to assess how organisations inclusive polices work for people with disabilities who use their services. I plan to speak to the persons responsible for accessible Transport, as well as make connections with transport users. My aim is to bring back the best practice to Victoria to inform the Department of Transport on the best and most effective transport options available, including on demand services.
