To explore the use of Yoga within Cognitive Stimulation Therapy for people with a diagnosis of mild to moderate dementia featured image

This project seeks to investigate and observe successful operating models of the use of the tools of Yoga within the program Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), with the intent to applying this program in Australia. CST is an evidence based, structured, small group or 1:1 program for people with mild to moderate dementia that aims to stimulate and engage participants while providing important social benefits. This non-drug intervention has been shown to be as effective as some dementia drugs, with no reported side-effects. Key locations for this project are London; where the program was developed, as well as Auckland and St Louis; locations of leads in the research and application of Yoga within CST.
