To investigate how other other countries are utilising social enterprise to reintegrate people back into society after recovery from addiction. Detox and an initial recovery program is only one small step of a holistic treatment and frankly, the easiest part. I want to build a program in Australia that specialises in helping recovering addicts get educated and find employment, with employers who will be empathetic to where they have been and assist them in their journey. Recovery is not a destination but rather a journey and building a program that will support addicts long after their recovery program has finished.
