To investigate responses from religious leaders to violent attacks on houses of worship featured image

Between 2017 and 2019, violent attacks on congregations in houses of worship highlighted the need for Australia to be prepared for such atrocities and plan towards the best preparation and response from Australian faith leaders should such an attack happen here. The project involves visiting leaders of houses of worship (churches, mosques, synagogues) which have been attacked and neighbouring faith groups, and gathering lessons learned from their response. The project will focus on the experience of: The Christchurch mosques (NZ), Belfairs Methodist Church (UK), Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue and the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church (USA).
