Who doesn’t love berries? One of our Churchill Fellows, Stuart McGruddy’s latest sustainably sourced product has hit shelves nationwide, dubbed “the popcorn of fruit” and featured in the latest newsletter of our partner, Hort Innovation.
Stuart has been sponsored by Hort for his Churchill Fellowship to travel to the USA, France, Chile and Serbia on his Hort Innovation Churchill Fellowship to build on the knowledge, experience and technology used in the freezing of whole soft berry fruits.
Stuart’s award winning berry business, My Berries, is based at Caboolture, and has been named an Eat QLD champion for supporting local farmers and recently received a Moreton Bay Food and Agribusiness Excellence Award for their innovative approach to reducing the nation’s edible food waste.
