Churchill Fellows are contributing to the advancement of women’s issues in Australia, empowering them in the workplace and promoting economic empowerment. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, it is vital to acknowledge the significant progress made by women and recognise the countless achievements that have been made to create a more equitable world.

Churchill Fellows continue to play a crucial role in addressing gender-based violence, improving women’s health and reproductive rights, and supporting women entrepreneurs through research on access to financing, training, and mentorship programs. Their commitment to promoting gender equality is an inspiration to all, and their work has a significant impact on women’s lives worldwide.

Adam Davey, CEO of the Winston Churchill Trust, highlights the significance of Churchill Fellowships’ efforts towards women’s issues, saying “We are inspired by the range of women’s issues addressed through Churchill Fellowships, reflecting our strong commitment to prioritizing and advancing women’s issues.”

“Churchill Fellowships have enabled women to advance areas and issues of interest that are specifically focused on women.”

Just a few of the recent Churchill Fellowships for women by women include:

Susan Carland, to explore practical strategies for countering Islamophobia
